Presbyterian Cemetery and Columbarium

For over 200 years our cemetery has been a quiet place of reflection and remembrance. We offer an environment of care and dignity, and work closely with you to achieve your plans.

With more than 1,000 burial plots and 100 columbarium niches available, we are here to support you whether you are planning for the future or facing an immediate need. We offer caring, professional burial guidance and assistance.

Our goal is to help you find a lasting place of remembrance that honors your life or the life of a loved one and offers comfort to your family and friends. While preference is extended to members of the Presbyterian denomination, all who seek a burial rooted in dignity and reverence are welcome.

Hours and Access

The cemetery is gated to protect the privacy of our families and the integrity of our historic grounds. The pedestrian gate allows access from sunup to sundown and is secured with a four-digit lock. Families may request a private access code; a temporary code is also available upon request. Vehicle gates are open most Saturdays and select holidays from 11 am to 3 pm. Special access can be arranged by appointment. For security reasons, please do not share gate codes.

There is ample parking inside the cemetery when the vehicle gates are open, with signage guiding visitors to appropriate areas for services and general visits. When the gates are closed, parking is available along Hamilton Lane outside the cemetery.

A Message from our Cemetery Superintendent

Welcome to the Presbyterian Cemetery

The Presbyterian Cemetery, established in 1809 by the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, continues to serve as a

sacred resting place for loved ones—and a source of comfort for the living.

As Superintendent for the past decade, I consider it one of the deepest honors of my life to care for these grounds.

My journey with the Old Presbyterian Meeting House began at age four. While the church is located a mile east of the cemetery,

the connection—both spiritual and historical—has always been close to my heart.

My personal bond with this place deepened in 2002, when my father was laid to rest here. In 2018, my mother joined him.

I, too, will one day be buried within these grounds. The care I offer is not only professional—it is personal. And in many ways,

it is a calling. I believe the Holy Spirit placed this responsibility on my heart: to tend this ground with reverence,

to preserve the stories of those interred here, and to walk alongside families with compassion and care.

Although this cemetery was founded by a Presbyterian congregation, we welcome burials from all Christian denominations.

We ask only that each interment be conducted with dignity and respect, honoring the sacredness of this space.

Whether you are visiting a loved one, seeking a resting place, planning a service, or wondering what comes next

after purchasing a plot or niche, please know that I am here to help. I also work closely with families and researchers

exploring their roots, preserving and sharing the stories of those interred here.

Thank you for visiting. Whether you arrive in sorrow or in search, may you find here a place of peace, belonging, and enduring care.

Warmly, David Heiby

Superintendent, Presbyterian Cemetery
